Meeting Notes 8/23/11

We had a great meeting at Panera last week. Here are some of the take-away items I had. Please feel free to post anything else I may have missed.

Our goals are for the children to:

• Love school and learning.
• Learn to share.
• Learn patience.
• Practice make-believe.
• Positive interaction with other children.
• Have fun.

Our goals as teachers are to:

• Answer questions, even random ones.
• Keep it simple and don’t stress.
• Be creative. 
• Have fun.

Along with the book “Yearful of Circle Times” by Liz & Dick Wilmes, we would like to integrate the following into our lesson plans:


Field Trip: Once a month. Will rotate through teachers.
Spanish: Daily. Becca and Natalie will help with the lesson plan for this.
Music: Daily
Letter of the week: Daily
Value of the week: Daily
Science Activity: Weekly


Thanksgiving break: November 20th - 28th
Christmas break: December 20th - January 2nd
We plan to have Spring break April 2nd – 13th.
